Ikube was established in 2017 to provide consultancy services to the rail industry, offering expertise in the test execution and test management domains. However, we have recently expanded our portfolio of services to include system engineering design and management services and asset integrity management.
Our Business Model
We are a rapidly expanding organisation looking to increase our client base by offering experienced consultants at competitive charge out rates who can be embedded within your organisation, integrating Ikube personnel to supplement your existing workforce to address resource shortfalls where peak workloads may exist, or providing a particular skillset where there is a deficiency within your own organisation. Alternatively, we can offer a fully managed service, taking responsibility for the end to end delivery of a work package at a fixed cost

Managing Director
Ibtasam is the Managing Director and founder of IKube. His expertise lies in Test Management and Test Execution. He has over twelve years’ experience in developing test strategies and test plans, working on high profile projects like Crossrail and Thameslink Traffic Management System. He has led multi-national teams, delivering test solutions at the critical phase of the project lifecycle. He has an aptitude for developing test strategies and a strong work ethic to drive for results.
Darren Jones
Director
Darren is an expert in systems design, integration and management with twenty years’ experience of working within the rail sector delivering complex solutions for rolling stock and signalling applications on major capital programmes such as Crossrail and the 4 Lines Modernisation programme. He is a chartered engineer with substantial engineering management experience, leading large teams of multi-disciplined engineers across an array of subsystems to deliver robust solutions through the full project lifecycle.
Jay Dassrath
Business Development Manager
A results-driven and strategic leader with extensive experience in the rail industry, specialising in business growth, market expansion and long-term client relationships. Proven ability to identify new market opportunities, secure high-value contracts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative rail solutions. Skilled in negotiating complex agreements, managing stakeholder relationships and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and business development initiatives. Strong understanding of emerging trends in rail infrastructure, technology advancements and sustainability practices.
